I had the wonderful pleasure of working on the artwork for Freetown Collective's second album (a soca EP) entitled YAGO. In collaboration with RisAnne and Leah of Brown Cotton Caribbean and Kibwe Brathwaite, we created magic together.
YAGO is Yoruba and loosely translates as 'clear the way'. The chant heard in one of the songs on the album, We Bad, is the Trini longer version of YAGO (ago lona). The artwork was heavily inspired by this and features Lou and Muhammad's profiles with the word 'yago' tracing the path between.

Before the album was released on February 26, 2020, two singles made their way to the world and single artwork was also created far removed from the artwork for the album.
