Welcome to the start of understanding the foundation of communicative design. Having taught this as a live course, as well as use it with my students at UWI, I'm now making it available as a self-paced, on-demand course.
It's simple. Pay for access to the course, and you'll be added to a Google Classroom where all of the content lives. you can access it and go through it at your own pace whenever you're ready.
About Design: The Basics Course
This six part course will teach you about colour theory, typography, design history, the grid and how these elements come together to communicate visually. Each session would include a video, links for additional resources, and a small exercise. The final aspect of the course is to create a poster design, and if you complete this, you can share it in the Classroom Stream for feedback.
1: Back to Basics: the Elements and Principles of Design.
2. Understanding Colour Theory + Visual Cues
3. An Intro to Typography
4. Look back: An Intro to Design History

6. Bringing it all together: A Design Assignment.
